Hello Ladies of Voodoo, I have ash blonde hair that I recently dyed light reddish brown (not much of a change I know) but I’ve been considering bleaching it, I mean platinum blonde, and I’m wondering if that would be priced like a regular coloring or if it would be a double process? I have very thin hair that goes just past my collar bone. Let me know.

Hello S!

This is such a great question!  Thank you for taking the time to write us!  Corrective color is a service we offer at Voodoo and we can absolutely accommodate your needs.  It’s fun to change your color to spice things up.  It’s even more fabulous when you can have the change without damaging your hair.  The first plan of action I would suggest would be to schedule a complimentary 15 minute consultation with one of our talented Voodoo ladies.  In this consultation your stylist will ask you a series of questions in addition to check the condition of your hair to determine the best formula, the most gentle process and pricing.  Here are a few questions that I would ask you in a consultation for corrective color.  What kind of hair color did you use to color your hair light red?  ie: L’Oreal, Wella etc.  Was it box color, semi-permanent, henna or permanent color?  How long ago did you color it?  How is the condition of your hair?  What color would you like to achieve?
Fine hair is delicate and tends to get dry really quickly if it’s the slightest bit over processed.  The good thing is there are wonderful conditioning treatments that will help your hair bounce back to it’s resilient, perfect design.  We have several deep conditioning treatments for home use in addition to several treatments we offer in the salon that can be added to your color service.
So, S, when you’re ready to go back to your “natural”, schedule a consultation with the stylist of your choice and they will rock you back to platinum while keeping your locks happy and healthy!
