I have extremely damaged hair from a bad case of box dye/ corrective coloring from a previous stylist. I have not died my hair since January, so I now have roots about down to the middle of my ears (chest-length hair). My natural hair is medium goldish/brown, and the died portion is about 2 tones lighter than that. I am graduating in December and really want to have long hair that’s one color (or highlighted- just want to get rid of the root stripe that goes down my head ha). I was wondering if you offered temporary dye, how damaging it was, and what the cost was. If it is pricey, are there any box temporary dies you would recommend? Secondly, aprox. what is the cost of your hair extensions? (clip in). As I am graduating with a lot of expenses, I am looking to keep this process as cost-efficient as possible.
Wow! I’m sorry to hear about your awful salon experience and hope that I can help by answering your color questions.
Because of the previous damage done I’ll assume the ends of your hair are still feeling pretty fried. Amonia free is the way to go for damage control! We do offer a demi permanent amonia free color line that make your hair feel soft, shiney, and luxurious. it would even enhance your natural color. I would not recommend purchasing a box color or doing this yourself. There are all kinds of things to consider when choosing a shade to match and blend. The difference between your natural hair and the previously colored ends makes the process more complicated and you might almost need 2 different colors applied on those different areas of hair.
My professional recomendation would be to come into the salon for a quick consultation as well as get a conditioning treatment. At that time you can really have your hair properly evaluated , go over color choices and maintenance as well as cost. All over color usually runs about $55-$75 depending on length and thickness of your hair.
As far as extensions go, consultation is also a must. The hair needs to be ordered if you don’t already have it. Matching color is huge as well as trimming it to blend with your own hair.
I hope to see you in the salon for all your needs before your graduation.
