We interviewed our fearless salon director, Addison, to walk us through her amazing concept for our 2018 Editorial Photoshoot. Not a stylist, but definitely the glue that keeps our whole salon together, she jumped bravely into a pit of stylists and managed to not only stay afloat, but prove to them that she’s got more than what it takes.

Voodoo: What was the motivation behind your idea for the photoshoot?
Addison: I was trying to play off of warm and cool tones with gold and stark white. And I was also trying to add a little bit of luxury with the gold leaf to play off of the stark white contrast.

Voodoo: How do you think your idea represents the overall theme of “Organic”?
Addison: I incorporated natural elements such as sticks (driftwood) and gold leaf..

Voodoo: What is your favorite part about doing photoshoots and getting out from behind the chair with regular clients?
Addison: I absolutely love the creative aspect of it. But it also feeds the control freak in me! I love creating and organizing creative concepts.

Addison: I’d love to do a tarot card shoot.
